Marlboro cigarettes among pumpkin seeds

During control of Renault Magnum, which transported pumpkin seeds in Italy, 2800 Marlboro cigarettes packs have been found. Cigarettes packs were found in special hiding places in semitrailer, as Public Customs Service of Ukraine reported. The same part of cigarettes was hidden in constructional floor cavity, though 2400 cigarettes packs were found in hiding place, attached to the front side. That is why customs officials had to unload the car partly and dismantle the side of semitrailer.

In other case of illegal transportation of tobacco production customs officials found out 720 Marlboro cigarettes packs in drivers cab. As the transporter explained, he purchased cigarettes in Ukraine and was making his way to Italy with the purpose of cigarettes realization. He decided to do this because the company carrier did not pay a hire to him.

In both cases it was seized contraband tobacco production to the sum of 16 thousand hryvnias. Moreover, due to presence of hiding place, Renault Magnum was seized too.
