Humidor. Part 1

Cigars' smoking is not just a habit but some distinctive feature that praises the smoker over persons that surround him. In this is something aristocratic, sign of prosperity and wealth (as good cigars cost much). Cigar is not smoked on the run, cigar smoking is analogous to pipe smoking, and it must be done in good calm atmosphere at talk or glass of some beverage.

As well as for pipes exist a lot of accessories for cigars: special lighters, knifes for cutting and actually thing in which it is stored - Humidor.

Experts affirm that cigar is not only wonderful as woman is but also capricious. In the sense that it must be "nourished and cherished", or more precisely stored correctly. Only in this case cigar doesn't lose its flavor and aroma for a long time, but fresh (not matured) - acquires it, satiates. And if you seriously decided to join culture of cigar smoking, than, in the first place, you should provide your proper level of life to your "choice". For cigars it means first of all humidor.

The very first humidors appeared at the beginning of XIX century. At appearance they looked like chest of drawers, with storage capacity from one thousand to three thousands of cigars. Smaller chest of drawers for 300-500 cigars were placed on tables manufactured specially for them. In the first half of XX century humidors of smaller sizes started to be produced, for 200-250 cigars. Today are more popular table humidors that hold from 25 to 120, but sometimes till 200 cigars. They are intended for storing cigars at home on at office.

First of all, humidor is necessary to maintain definite humidity inside of it in order cigars not to spoil. If you but cigars by the piece, it must be placed in humidor for two days, otherwise it will spoil, lose aroma, flavor, will "shrink".
