Mouthpieces are very different; they are even collected as works of art. Most often they are made of wood or metal.

Cup, in which tobacco is placed, is important part of hookah. Usually it is ceramic as it is warmed up more evenly and tobacco doesn't get burnt in it. In the bottom part of the cup is one or few small orifices in order tobacco not to fall down. Small quantity of tobacco is placed in the cup, approximately one teaspoon. It is important for tobacco to lie not dense and not to go beyond the cup's borders.

Hookah must be assembled easily, without difficulties. All hookahs are handicraft, and it means that each of them is unique.

Special tobacco is used for hookah. Its appearance doesn't look like tobacco that is usual for us; it is damp and sticky, like a jam. Tobaccos sorts that don't contain aromatizers are a little drier and are not recommended for long keeping. Quality and expensive in vacuum package, for example Al Fakher. Exists great quantity of tobacco aromas. The main fruit aroma is considered apple. Also this is taste of grape, melon, cherry and so on. It is possible to mix up several types of tobacco but it is also an art. It is better not to buy tobacco that is out of date.

Coal is also necessary for ritual of hookah smoking; it may be in form of purified wood coal, it is preferred by experienced smokers. Second type of coal is self-inflaming in pills. And finally, about the most important, how and in which atmosphere is necessary to smoke hookah. In company of a few friends without hurry and fuss, preferable recumbently after dinner. In no way drink alcohol drinks, otherwise you will not understand. Hookah is placed at the foot - on the floor or a small table; if there is only one mouthpiece, after inhaling put it on plate or near the hookah. You mustn't pass it from hands to hands. Even don't think to light a cigarette from hookah's coals. Each person smokes hookah like he considers the best. Here are no restrictions. Just forget for a while about bustling world that is outside the room and give opportunity to rise your soul high.
